Danna Bush. CNM.
Danna is originally from the Knoxville area, but first got her start as a state licensed midwife in Florida. She’s been involved in work at a birth center since she was 19 years old, and after becoming a midwife, she became a nurse and then a Certified Nurse Midwife. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill Nursing school in 2003 and got her MSN in nurse-midwifery from Stony Brook University in New York in 2006. She loves the community that the birth center creates for both patients and her coworkers – she says that working together to give patients the birth experience they desire creates that sense of family and community. When she’s not delivering babies and taking care of clients, Danna spends time with her two children, Alana and Mitchell, her husband, Jesse, and leads the preschool choir at her church.
